McFadden Nature Center Welcomes New Visitor Center Director, Jay Pascua

McFadden Nature Center is excited to announce the appointment of Jay Pascua as the new Visitor Center Director. With extensive experience in customer engagement, storytelling, and operations, Jay will oversee the visitor center and campgrounds, enhancing guest experiences and community engagement.

Before joining McFadden Nature Center, Jay served as a call center manager, leading operational improvements that boosted efficiency and customer satisfaction. His expertise in process improvement was evident when he implemented a new telephony system, reducing call drops by 50% and improving performance.

A cultural practitioner, Jay is also a writer, producer, and journalist with a passion for storytelling. He has hosted LinkedIn Audio Events, including Storytime with Jay and Friends, and authored The Rules of Engagement in Storytelling, demonstrating his ability to create meaningful connections through narrative.

In his new role, Jay will manage daily operations at the visitor center and campgrounds, develop engaging educational programs, and integrate storytelling into visitor experiences. His leadership will support the Center’s mission to care for the land, air, water, and animals through conservation, education, and preservation for future generations.

When he’s not at the Nature Center, Jay enjoys cooking, storytelling, and painting.

The Visitor Center, which broke ground on July 24, is nearing completion.

It will soon open for public access to trails, disc golf, and grounds. By 2026, McFadden Nature Center will include a publicly open nature preserve spanning 1,260 acres of uplands, wetlands, and two miles of river frontage, along with trails, facilities, and accommodations.
